(interspersed with a little bit, once Goran descriptions of trips, and once with my parents)
After minor adventures in reaching the center (the final destination of our train station was a child and I wanted to take the local train with three stops, and Goran preferred not to meddle in a foreign city in the crowd in the end we chose the rickshaw, for which, of course, a little przepłaciliśmy, but at least we arrived safely directly to the target), we decided to first go to the map of tourist information to the government, which was under nose, and then find a hotel. From the beginning, people were sitting there annoyed me, because I could not find a map, and in return they asked us about the details of your stay in India. Where do we go then, do we have hotels, airplanes, trains, what we want to see how we get there, etc. Not because we went there, to confess to everything, and we did not need any help, let him give only the map and we'll finally find the hotel! A bit of a potrwało before they finally told us to come on the map in half an hour, but instead proposed a 'cheap' and a good hotel, supervised by the government. I did not even want to hear about that, because I can imagine how acc. Indians look like white people travel, and did not want to pay for luxury rooms with air conditioning, private garage, landing strip for light aircraft and a mini-pool in the bathroom. Faster but sometimes you just nod and listen to the end, than to interrupt in mid-sentence, so given up. I found out that for some reason we get a discount, instead of Rs 1200. per room, come out 550, so it actually fits in our budget, and if it really looks like the guy says, you can even take a look ...
the end of our stay there, continually sniffed some trick, but Amazingly, everything was ok hotel looked extremely well for us to bid price, the room was large, had air conditioning, clean and elegant bathroom and TV. Well, mini-pool was not but a decent shower was enough for us. For this it is possible to order food to your room, so called. room service, which decided to use instantly. Wished the breakfast (ie, repeatedly tried to explain to the caller that you want to set 2 and 3, which finally seemed to understand), I went to take a shower and waited Goran watching some goofy Indian program.
There's been several minutes, the doorbell rang. I do not know exactly what was going on, because I was in the bathroom, but Goran was surprised, because he came restaurant worker claiming that for some reason the request was not accepted and you must call again. Under the watchful eye of the guy Goran dialed the right number and then underwent the procedure attempts to order our breakfast. This time went better, the guy said goodbye and left. Wonder why he could not write what we want ...
arrived before our food even came up with the tourist office worker, almost demanding to go with him, he finally found a map. Goran was a bit confused as to why he so insists, but I explained to him that we are waiting for breakfast, and get rid of it somehow. In the meantime, he also received the phone from the restaurant, except to confirm the order ... In any case, we found that the next time will be easier to just go eat in town. The more that we were in Paharganj, an area which is probably more foreigners than natives, probably even counting riksiarzy.
